Dan Ladden-Hall: Russia Launches New Missile Attacks on Kyiv Residential Buildings

The city's mayor reported that during a missile strike on Kyiv on Tuesday, two residential buildings were hit. According to Vitali Klitschko, rescue teams and medical personnel were on the scene of the attacks in the Pechersk neighborhood near the city center. Although no specifics regarding casualties have been made public yet, Klitschko acknowledged on Telegram that there had been an

"attack on the capital" and added that additional rockets had been shot down by air defenses. After urging world leaders to exert more pressure on Russia to put an end to the conflict in Ukraine through a peace plan during a virtual address at the G20 summit in Indonesia, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky launched the strikes on Tuesday. Zelensky declared, "We will not allow Russia to wait it out and strengthen its military. "I am convinced that now is the time to put a halt to Russia's conflict, and it can be."
