Actor Sylvester Madu responds to critics saying, "I'm not ashamed of selling Okrika."
Sylvester Madu has confronted movie buffs who are perplexed by the fact that he trades in second-hand items, or "okrika."
On Friday, a video showing the movie star hawking the reasonably-used goods in an Enugu market appeared on social media.
In the now-viral video, Madu, dressed in a brown jacket, was seen talking to some clients while holding a bag of items.
Nigerians were shocked by the video, and several of them voiced concern for the actor.
In response to the popular video, Madu expressed his pride in "my business empire," which consisted of numerous people selling various types of gently used goods.
He also addressed the young people without jobs who are shocked by " legit business," advising them to find employment and quit pleading for money on social media.

Madu said he once took out a loan to buy a Blackberry phone only to impress people as he reflected on people's fascination with material possessions in 2021.
The actor, who was born in Anambra, is well known for playing villains in movies.
